Area Sales Manager NE - Municipal — Northgate, Port Adelaide Area

The ASM is accountable for all commercial aspects of the company's operations in the assigned region. This role will promote and support corporate initiatives, plans, policies, by example and through direct action. The initial focus of this role will be to strengthen sales, team capability and engagement, whilst providing on-the-ground leadership for the entire sales team. The ASM will keep regional leadership abreast of opportunities, competitive issues, and market/regulatory conditions, and drive total sales and profit growth, balanced against the necessary investment to strengthen, and maintain a first-class market-leading business organization. In this role, you'll : (Job Responsibilities) - Provide sales leadership and vision, accurate revenue forecasts for effective business planning and growth by directing the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the team. - Be responsible for achieving all PD & KPI goals and objectives for sales and customer support, maintain records in corporate CRM and salesforce automation tool and reports on territory activity on a consistent basis - Develop and execute a regional/country growth plan that identifies actions required to meet and exceed assigned revenue targets. - Be responsible for obtaining customer & influencer VOC and verifying market data (growth rates, regulatory activity, competitive environment, etc.) - Provide pricing direction to best accomplish sales objectives set forth by senior management. - Coordinate training (product/sales/application) of sales teams and customer base to achieve corporate objectives. - Implement value selling, account management, funnel management and other VES growth tools into the assigned region. - Setting objectives, coaching and performance monitoring of sales associates. The essential requirements of the job include: (Skills & Qualifications) - Tertiary Qualifications in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation, or other relevant scientific/engineering discipline. - Minimum of 10 years' sales management in a scientific and/or capital instrument environment. - Understanding of NSW and QLD Municipal customers buying journey. - Proficient in SFDC with exceptional Funnel Management skills. - Customer-driven mindset with a desire and ability to identify customer pain points. - Strategic thinker with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to understand and interpret customer needs and organizational gaps and translate them into opportunities and requirements. - Strong people management skills with solid experience of developing direct reports.
