About the Project Iluka's Eneabba Rare Earth Refinery (ERER) Project, located at Eneabba in Western Australia. We are delivering Australia's first fully integrated rare earths refinery, achieving an independent supply of rare earth oxides essential to global electrification and decarbonisation. Our state-of-the-art refinery will feature a total rare earth oxide capacity of 23,000 tonnes p.a, flexibility to process a range of feedstocks and recycling of water and reagents. About The Role We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join our projects team. This is a permanent position based at our Perth Projects office, with frequent site travel as required. The main objective will be to take accountability of and provide management to assigned project scope packages as part of the rare earths project. Essential to the role is the effective and efficient planning and management of both internal resources and external vendors, consultants and contractors to ensure individual project scope packages are developed and delivered to the approved project scope, cost and time targets. Key elements of the role include: Manage individual project scope packages; ensure that the requirements of individual project package scope of works / service are fulfilled and adhere to Integrated Project Delivery Review all project (structural, mechanical and piping) engineering documents, drawings and calculations for consistency, fitness for purpose and conformance to meet package and contract scope Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their engineering requirements for individual project scope packages during both study development and project delivery Assist project management determine package bundling and associated contract implementation approaches Generating solutions that are "fit for purpose" to minimise capital intensity while considering whole of life costs and reliability Provide support to the Area Manager/s in the formation, tendering, award and management of multiple disciplinary vertical contracts Communication with internal customers via technical reports, presentations and training About You To be successful for this role, you will have: Tertiary degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering Demonstrated experience preferably involving large complex process plant projects in a mining or manufacturing environment Preparation of project charter, scope of work and tender documentation Exposure to commissioning and optimisation of equipment installed on site A working knowledge of SAP is highly desirable strong organisation and interpersonal skills Our Offer To You Flexible working arrangements Be supported through an inclusive and collaborative culture Up to 18 Weeks Paid Parental Leave for Primary Caregivers Ability to Purchase Additional Annual Leave Competitive Salary and Bonus Structures Company share matching scheme Access to a state-of-the-art Gym in our Perth building, free of charge You will be supported, empowered, included and encouraged to be the best version of yourself.
