Collaborates with staff, executes library tasks, and provides temporary support. Promptly responds to on-call duties for seamless operations. Key accountabilities include: Safely and efficiently transport crates of books and materials between library branches. Follow established delivery schedules and routes to maintain a smooth workflow Prioritize safety and security to protect library materials during transit. Collaborate closely with library staff to coordinate and organize delivery tasks effectively. Execute core library tasks, including customer service, home delivery services, library deliveries, home shelving and other circulation duties, fostering an adaptable and collaborative work environment. Demonstrate flexibility to meet the unique demands of different library locations in the network, ensuring efficient operations and teamwork. Be available for short-term engagement to bridge temporary staffing gaps, maintaining consistent service levels throughout our seven-day service. Respond promptly to on-call duties, addressing unforeseen staffing needs for the seamless functioning of library operations. About You Achieved satisfactory results in the Higher School Certificate or equivalent. Holds a current NSW Working with Children clearance. Comfortable navigating busy city streets and congestion. Preferential experience in delivery or transportation roles. Proficient in handling library materials with meticulous attention. Demonstrated ability to excel in customer service within a collaborative team, dedicated to enriching community experiences.
