The Strategy, Insights and Advisory (SIA) business group within DSDI coordinates all key matters across the Minister's portfolio responsibilities and all touch points between the Minister's office, the department and portfolio entities. As Senior Reception and Administration Officer in the Cabinet and Executive Services Unit you will undertake business tasks to support DSDI and the Minister's office in the progression of ministerial and executive correspondence and briefing notes. Are you right for this role? To be successful in this role you must demonstrate the following skills and experience: Provide quality assurance on briefing notes and replies to ministerial and executive correspondence in line with the department's style guide. Prepare high quality responses and referrals to ministerial and executive correspondence. Coordinate and undertake ministerial and executive correspondence activities in accordance with ministerial and executive protocols and timeframes, using the Source (Trimflow electronic document and records management system). Provide support and advice to departmental officers, investigate problems, resolve issues and support the department with respect to the preparation of ministerial and executive correspondence. Assist in preparing, monitoring and managing correspondence reports and coordinate deadlines for ministerial and executive correspondence. Liaise with various levels of management, departmental and Government staff including the Director-General's office and Minister's office on relevant issues. Use computer-based word processing, spreadsheet, database and desktop publishing software to prepare correspondence, mail merges and other material in accordance with departmental guidelines. Actively participate and contribute to a team environment by assisting in the development of procedures and processes to ensure the continual improvement of the quality and timeliness of ministerial and executive correspondence. About Strategy, Insights and Advisory, DSDI: The Strategy, Insights and AA) business group is responsible for the following functions: " strategic policy " marketing, communications, and media " cabinet and parliamentary services, ministerial and executive services, and the Office of the Director-General " strategic advice and oversight of commercial transactions, complex projects, business intelligence and performance management.
