The Opportunity As part of a multi-disciplined team, you will work directly with the Dept of Health in the schematic design of a major new $1B health project. Supporting the Design Team Lead (Mechanical), you’ll work with the builder, architects and sub-consultant civil engineers, initially supported by a National Structures team, as the local Brisbane office expands. You won’t get this type of exposure anywhere else. We are seeking an Associate Structural Engineer and/or Senior Structural Engineer. The Business Our client is one of Australia’s largest privately-owned engineering consultancies, with a team of over 300 across all states, with 30% of them shareholders. Much of the team come from large consultancy background, frustrated with layers of bureaucracy; finding a freedom and autonomy here, whilst still working on mega-projects base. Key Responsibilities Design structural engineering services Site inspections and survey for the purposes of reports or project works Preparation of engineering drawings, technical specs and documents to meet project timelines Preparation of concept level design Coordination of design with other engineers and appreciation of other services disciplines Assist with fee proposals and marketing where required Mentor junior staff Assistance with developing the office and engineering standards and maintaining best practices Keep abreast of latest trends/requirements Requirements Bachelor Civil Engineering, CPEng/RPEQ (or eligible) Health/Hospital experience would be highly advantageous. Extensive design experience across large building projects (300-900Mil) essential Extensive knowledge of local codes, standards and regulations At least 10 years consulting experience.
