Preadmissions Administrative Assistant — Toorak Gardens, Burnside Area

About the Role… We are seeking a Preadmissions Assistant who will support our patients prior to their admission to the Hospital. This a pivotal support role which will need some one who is as strong communicator who is highly organised and able to work under pressure. You will be working as part of our highly respected preadmissions team, with dedicated staff that include a Preadmissions Manager, Bed Coordinator and departmental nursing staff. Liaising with Visiting Specialists, Practice Managers and Personal Assistants, Allied Health professionals and external service providers to deliver high quality clinical care to patients of Burnside Hospital Toorak Gardens. This is a permanent part-time (0.4FTE) role, with days to be negotiated over a 5 day roster (Monday to Friday) and the ability and willingness to provide leave relief on occasion. Your work day would include responsibilities such as: Processing patient admission and consent forms in a timely manner, verifying any discrepancies with the Visiting Medical Officers’ (VMO) rooms or the patient as necessary. Scheduling Preadmission appointments in outlook Preparing theatre lists, using information from consent forms, patient admission forms and VMO theatre lists. Ensure the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of patient records, in a manner that conforms to clinic requirements Ensures availability of treatment information by updating and retrieving patient records About you… You share our values.
