Site Reliability Engineer — Mascot, Rockdale Area

6 month contract with a view to extend | Based in Sydney Strong research and analytical skills Experience in SQL queries, AWS, CI/CD|Hybrid role Our client is looking for an Site Reliability Engineer/IT Operations Analyst who will be responsible for investigating application issues and diagnosing the root causes whilst minimising service disruption. The role manages incidents and service requests, whilst managing stakeholder expectations during triage. This is an operational role which responds to user inquiries, assess problems and issues and leads the resolution. Empowered to troubleshoot and skilled with basic technical skills to address issues. -Hybrid role- 2 days in office and 3 days from home. Key Skills Required: Strong CI/CD experience. Comfortable with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins Responsible for designing, coding, testing and maintaining the associated services using frameworks such as Java, RESTful services, JSON, SOAP/XML/JAXB integration Spring ecosystem - Spring-Boot, Spring MVC Web or interface languages such as Javascript, AngularJS, React, HTML5 Experience with logging, monitoring and auditing technologies such as Splunk, Datadog, AppDynamics, Splunk Observability Familiarity with Docker and/or running virtualized Software Familiarity developing with AWS services stack Comfortable writing sql queries (mySQL, SQL) Understand distributed computing and complex multi-tier applications Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring key Service Level Objectives Working with product teams to define what SLOs are important for them to measure Practise sustainable incident response and blameless Postmortems Writing documented, reliable and maintainable code Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail Analyse processes, workflows, systems or applications to identify opportunities for business improvement and make recommendations to senior leaders Contribute to and leverage joint knowledge of Engineering community to improve collective capability Comfortable developing and maintain documentation related to standard IT Operations procedures Provide expert technical support and guidance to stakeholders and customers Be able to work closely with business and technical teams to troubleshoot IT incidents and problems Collaborate with other team members to improve the overall performance and stability of applications services delivered to customers Please Note: All resumes MUST be submitted in Word format.
