Administrative/Property Officer — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

Rowville Police is looking for a highly motivated applicant to join our dynamic and supportive administration team. Rowville Uniform has in excess of 30 staff and seek a new team member to assist with Administration and Property Management duties. The position's primary work location is Rowville Police Station. However, there may be a requirement to attend other stations within the local region to assist with administration tasks, training and development. The successful applicant must be highly organised and self-motivated, display resilience, be willing to work both in a team environment and autonomously. The successful applicant will report to the Senior Sergeant and VPS3 Team Leader and will also have some contact and interaction with external stakeholders. Your duties will include: Undertake a range of functions around the receipt, management and disposal of property items in accordance with police policy and relevant legislation Process incoming and outgoing briefs of evidence and general correspondence Perform data entry, filing, document destruction and archiving tasks Attend enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, provide initial information and advice where required Receive, record and distribute mail and correspondence Ordering of stationery and consumables Providing administration support to police and personnel as required As the successful applicant, you will have: Excellent computer skills to perform a range of administrative tasks including, record management, data entry and word processing tasks Must have the ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records Ability to work successfully within a team environment and ability to work independently Exceptional organisation skills and ability to multitask and work under pressure Well-developed oral and written communication skills If required, flexibility to assist other team members by working from different police station locations within the Division/PSA.
