Support and develop production maintenance systems for a leading Australian agribusiness at their Felton-based Egg Grading and Packing facility. Located in Queensland’s stunning Darling Downs, a Maintenance Engineer is required to join their Felton-based Egg Grading facility. The Role Ensuring high-quality maintenance across their facility, the Maintenance Engineer will pay a pivotal role in the continuous development of asset and equipment maintenance standards and practices. Focussing on developing strategies to enhance production workflow and minimise downtime, this role will work closely with a team of 13 maintenance personnel. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your duties will include (but not be limited to): Identifying areas of improvement to develop/implement strategies to enhance equipment reliability and production workflow. Programming and configuring PLCs to control the operation of grading and packing machinery. Supporting the maintenance and production teams to address equipment issues, conduct safety inspections and risk assessments, and providing training where required. Managing spare parts inventory and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. Conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting, and performing preventative/breakdown maintenance on grading machinery and associated equipment which include: MOBA grading machine Egg pulp and wash systems Robotic packing machinery Roller conveyor Systems Printing machinery For a detailed list of responsibilities, a position description may be provided upon request. About You Mechanically minded and teamwork-oriented, our ideal candidate will have proven experience conducting maintenance on complex production machinery. They will be hands-on and able to work according to operational demands. Whilst previous experience working on MOBA egg grading machinery is desirable, demonstrated ability to learn new systems will be highly considered. To be considered for the role, you must be able to address the following criteria: Relevant trade qualification and/or 5 years’ relevant professional experience. Demonstrated experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and HMI interfaces. Experience developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules. Strong written and verbal communication skills across documentation, training material, and stakeholder engagement.
