Due to an internal promotion, our client is currently seeking an experienced Internal Technical Sales professional to join their friendly and professional team located in the South-eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. About the job: As an Internal Technical Salesperson, you will play a pivotal role in contributing directly to revenue growth and margin improvement targets. Reporting to the Team Leader and working closely with the Technical Sales and Operations team, your key responsibilities will include: - Follow-up and approval of technical sales quotes - Monitor, report, and drive sales growth through quoted works - Cultivate and sustain relationships with existing customers to enhance sales approvals - Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives - Negotiate and finalize sales deals - Champion excellent customer service and uphold a professional phone manner - Ensure commercial performance by contacting all quote follow-ups within 24 hours of submission - Monitor customer satisfaction ratings in line with company standards - Provide support to Service Sales Field Teams as a liaison to the Service Operations Team - Coordinate with technicians on-site and facilitate job upgrades - Undertake additional tasks as required by the business - Perform any other duties as assigned by the company, following consultation About You: To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: - Sound experience in a similar internal technical role, ideally from within an industrial environment - Proven experience in quoting and estimating - Strong organizational and communication skills, with keen attention to detail - Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management, perform under pressure, and meet tight deadlines - Results-oriented mindset - Demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability for fulfilling role requirements - Proficiency in systems, including the Microsoft Office suite - Excellent customer service and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
