About the Role Role type: Permanent, full time Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008 Senior/Lead Experience Designers create meaningful and engaging experiences across touchpoints, such as digital interfaces, physical spaces, products and services. They combine Human-Centred Design principles, research, and technical knowledge to design intuitive and seamless experiences that meet user and business goals. As a Senior/Lead Experience Designer, you’re a brilliant problem solver with extensive Strategic & Service Design experience (and ideally some UX/UI Design experience); and you can apply a range of skills across a broad spectrum of design disciplines to deliver compelling service solutions for customers and stakeholders. You’re able to confidently lead initiatives from inception to completion, collaborate with stakeholders, and apply Human-Centred Design techniques to define compelling service experiences. You’re also able to lead and coach team members, confidently present to stakeholders, and work collaboratively with your team to improve our customers’ financial wellbeing. A big focus of this role is to support the Commercial Design Lead with driving Target State projects for the Commercial Transformation Management Office, which includes developing detailed service design blueprints and CX artefacts in Figma that present future end-to-end commercial customer experiences, and outline back-end processes, technologies and capabilities required to deliver these experiences. Another part of the role is to provide design expertise and support to our initiative teams across Commercial division as needed. What will your day look like? Scoping: Scope and shape end-to-end project plans to address business challenges. Leadership: Lead projects and design activities to achieve business objectives within agreed timeframes. Landscape: Review customer, company, competitor and culture to identify strategic opportunities. Collaboration: Confidently collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather information and validate ideas. Research: Lead qualitative/quantitative research and synthesise clues to uncover insights and identify opportunities. Ideation: Use collaborative ideation techniques to create service solutions. Mapping: Define end-to-end customer journeys with consideration for technical, regulatory, and operational gaps. Facilitation: Plan and lead workshops with users and stakeholders to co-design, prototype and shape solutions. Prototyping: Iteratively develop and validate solution concepts with users and stakeholders. Artefacts: Develop design artefacts in Figma (e.g. service blueprints, etc.) to create shared clarity and inform decision-making. Standards: Ensure ANZ’s design methodologies, standards and frameworks are always adhered to. Engagement: Proactively acquire and nurture stakeholder relationships. Coaching: Coach and train your cross-functional team to apply and embed design knowledge and methodologies. What will you bring? To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 7 years Strategic & Service Design experience (with some UX/UI design experience ideally) designing both digital and non-digital experiences. Extensive experience scoping, planning and leading design projects. Extensive experience conducting design research to generate insights and opportunities. Advanced Figma skills, while being open and adaptive to new trends and technologies. Strong proficiency in designing service blueprints, journey maps, user flows, storyboards, and prototypes. Strong workshop design and facilitation skills. Exceptional stakeholder management, storytelling and influencing skills. Confident and empathetic leadership style with excellent communication skills. Confident ability to present messages in a clear, concise, and articulate manner. Passion for coaching designers and stakeholders on design methodologies to champion design. Passion for helping others to develop their skills in their growth areas and foster an energetic, vibrant team culture. A growth mindset, resilient nature, and an ability to cope and support others during uncertainty. Commercially savvy and results driven. You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
