We are looking for a GIS Administrator to develop and maintain the site spatial databases and provide GIS and other cartographic support to Pacific Operations work groups. You will also administer, coordinate, and manage GIS database development and activities across three locations. This is a great opportunity for a an enthusiastic and highly ambitious individual. Reporting to the Senior Surveyor and working in a diverse team within the Surveying department within Pacific Integrated Operations, you will be: Working as an Administrator with strong technical capability and demonstrated experience in GIS. Creating, maintaining, and enhancing constructive working relationships with the team, immediate manager, peers, and other parts of the business. Maintaining GIS related software with Information Technology support. Maintaining standard monthly data sets such as tenements, environmental, heritage, archaeological, land management, rehabilitation, mine planning and development and site custodian data. Managing digital conversion or capturing environmental, land management, rehabilitation, heritage, mine planning geophysical interpretations as per Rio Tinto GIS standards. What you'll bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team A tertiary qualification in GIS or related field Sound knowledge of the Esri ArcGIS platforms and App's Imagery and LiDAR processing experience. Data management experience. OGC and Esri Web service creation and configuration experience. Enterprise Geodatabase experience. Python and model builder experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
