Contracts Administrator — The Hill, Newcastle Area

Position Information Ref 300023105 Region Newcastle, NSW Classification Professionals Description & Requirements Zenviron is a joint venture between Monadelphous and ZEM Energy and is a market leading engineering, procurement, and construction services contractor, specialising in the design and construction of large-scale renewable energy projects in Australia. Following the continued growth and success of the business, we have a permanent position available for an experienced Contracts Administrator to work across our operations, based in the Newcastle Head office. Reporting to the Procurement and Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for supporting activities related to the provision of construction and subcontractor contract management. Key responsibilities will include: Supporting the Procurements and Contracts Manager with the commercial and contractual aspects of tendering, negotiating, awarding and managing all subcontracts and major purchase orders Supporting and providing advice to project team members on compliance with commercial requirements of head contracts, subcontracts, supply & consultancy agreements, quality and HSE policies, guidelines, and project-specific procedures. Compilation and preparation of site progress claims to the client and management of the process, ensuring timely payments Production and coordination of head contract variation, extension of time and latent conditions claims Management of subcontractor progress claims, variations, and extension of time claims. Highlighting any major commercial or contractual risks or issues to the relevant Project Managers and assisting in providing an optimum solution Analysing and utilising project cost reports and cash flow forecasts as directed by the Procurement and Contracts Manager and Project Managers What we are looking for: A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management (highly regarded) Construction/resource industry experience from EPCM, contractor or client side Experience in contract administration role (2 years' experience in a similar role) Proficiency in contract law, statutory and legal obligations, particularly the requirements of the Security of Payments legislation. Experience in variation to contract and extension of time claims Experience in cost and subcontractor claims management Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and instructions Thorough knowledge of contractual documentation and procedures Proof of right to work in Australia. To be successful in this role you will require well-developed interpersonal skills to assist you in building effective internal stakeholder relationships, whilst you will demonstrate a team orientated approach to work and commitment to continuous improvement.
