Video Editor/ Motion Designer — The Rocks, Sydney

Key role in creating dynamic and insightful instructional video content Hybrid Working Model - currently 3 days Sydney Office and WFH. Permanent opportunity You will play a key role in supporting Westpac Group's reputation through the successful delivery of high impact multimedia content - including those with animation and motion graphics - for the bank's key external and internal communication channels. You will work closely with the editorial team, supporting the communication objectives of various corporate affairs teams across the bank. You will create clear, compelling visual stories to engage, entertain and inform the bank's customers, general public, shareholders and employees about a range of topics, including banking, social, workplace, economic and other issues. Our audience and therefore style of videos will vary. Some will be published by Westpac's unique external news site, Westpac Wire, and associated external channels such as social media. Others will be for internal channels such as the bank's employee newsroom, employee events and gatherings, internal announcements, instructional guides and the like. As such, this producer will need a keenness to extend across a variety of formats, from short-form bites suitable for social media, same day turnaround for announcements, through to engaging narrative storytelling for longer form production. Key responsibilities include: Apply your experience with After Effects to ensure engaging, creative finish to multimedia jobs, including adding motion to titles, graphics, graphs etc; and meet accessibility requirements, including ensuring captioning meets highest standards. Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and on budget. Work closely with the Lead Video Journalist on end-to-end delivery of engaging, creative visual and audio content, which meets the editorial and strategic communication needs of internal Westpac clients. Take a creative approach to briefs from internal stakeholders, as well as pitch great story ideas to the editorial teams, and be supported in creating exciting original content with an editorial lens. Proven track record in video editing, motion graphics and animation focus Excellent communication skills Proficiency in Adobe Suite including Adobe Premiere and AfterEffects, and content management systems (Adobe AEM) essential Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a large organisation, and operate effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment Social media content creation experience Occasional travel may be required in this role.
