Team Lead Avionics Design Richmond The Opportunity We are excited to announce a permanent, full-time opening for a Team Lead in Avionics Hardware Design at our Richmond location. This role involves working on the C-130J Hercules aircraft, providing support to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). As the Team Lead, you will report to the Manager of Systems, Software, and Avionics. Your role will be to ensure the timely delivery of design-related products and services within budget, while continuously improving our platforms. You will need to be an effective leader, capable of managing, motivating, and inspiring your team. Additionally, you will identify and address issues that could impact project milestones and manage any project-related challenges. The skills and experience suited to this role include: Bachelor of Engineering in Avionics, Electrical, Electronic Systems, or Mechatronics (Australian accredited) At least 8 years of aviation experience across multiple engineering disciplines with a focus on Avionics systems 5 years of experience as a practicing design engineer Expertise in avionics systems technologies, hardware/software integration and electrical design Knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies and experience leading projects through Systems Engineering gates Familiarity with applicable legislation and regulations (e.g., DASR, CAANZ, CASA), standards, and internal best practices Proven experience in people management and leading a cohesive team to achieve measurable results and strategic goals Familiarity with resource planning, task allocation, and resource leveling Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build long-lasting, collaborative relationships with colleagues Why Us At Airbus, we offer a comprehensive, competitive framework that recognises performance and rewards outcomes.
