As an experienced Senior Legal Assistant or Law Clerk in a plaintiff personal injury law firm, you'll become a permanent Practice Support Lead / Senior Paralegal in our Medical Law team based in our Melbourne CBD office. With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be a true champion of our clients by: Recruiting, managing and coaching all legal support team members, completing performance reviews and personal and professional development plans. Being responsible for the administrative, transactional and non-legal operations of the practice. Efficiently drafting legal documents and correspondence in a concise, timely and effective manner. Driving the administrative workflow for the office, with a focus ensuring KPI’s are set and targets are met or exceeded in relation to effective time recording, productivity and recoverability, and minimising net WIP write offs. Leading and coordinating projects focused on continuous improvement and process enhancement. Cultivating strong relationships with our clients, Shine employees, Counsel and other external stakeholders. Supporting our Legal team with optimising the use of internal systems to process information. What you’ll bring Experience as a Senior Paralegal or Law Clerk or Senior Legal Assistant, or similar position, in a plaintiff personal injury law firm is preferred. Experience working in medical negligence or personal injuries is preferred. Proficient computer literacy. Proficient verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to proactively manage own workload and guide the workload of others. Proven ability to identify efficiencies and impact continuous improvement. Experience coaching and developing others is highly desirable but not essential for success. Shine Lawyers: A place for you.
