The Team McCullough Robertson's Project Approvals team is the heart of our firm's Resources and Renewables and Native Title practices. The team advises on all aspects of project development and compliance - including, tenement and regulatory issues, environmental matters and impacts of nature positive reforms, native title and cultural heritage, land access, offsets, land rehabilitation, carbon emissions management, energy transition, water access and ESG related issues. The team services an array of industries, including mining, gas, energy, renewables, carbon, development, and infrastructure, and key clients include international resource companies, junior and mid-level explorers, carbon industry participants, government departments, government-owned corporations, and developers. The Role Due to growth within the team, we are recruiting for an energetic and enthusiastic Legal Assistant. While each day will be different, key elements of the role will include: Secretarial support for high volume general administrative tasks; Word processing, typing and amending documents and correspondence; Day to day filing, scanning, copying and saving of emails and legal documents; Taking messages accurately and directing through to appropriate channels; Diary management for authors, including booking meetings either in person or virtually; Domestic travel arrangements; Processing of credit card reconciliation and reimbursements; File opening and closing; and Time entry, monthly billing and reporting including client-specific reporting and uploading of invoices to portals. Experience As the successful candidate, you will have prior experience in an administrative role within the legal industry, with a keen desire to pursue a career in this space. You will also demonstrate the following: An ability to exercise initiative; Maturity around confidential and sensitive information; Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external parties; An ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines; Impeccable attention to detail; Self-motivation with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; and Strong technical skills and understanding of software applications.
