About the role We are excited to announce that we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager - Warehouse & Distribution to join our dynamic team. Based in our QLD Head Offices in Brisbane, this role is critical in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our warehouse and distribution operations throughout our vast Australia Pacific region. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and lead a dedicated team in achieving targets. Reporting to our Vice President - Supply Chain (AusPac), the Senior Manager - Warehouse & Distribution will develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, ensuring high levels of accuracy, productivity, and customer satisfaction. This role will require a proactive leader with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and stakeholder collaboration to support Orica's commitment to operational excellence. What you will be doing Lead and manage the warehouse and distribution management team throughout Australia Pacific, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse and distribution processes. Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels, timely replenishment, and effective inventory turnover. Manage logistics and transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Ensure all warehouse and distribution activities comply with Orica's safety standards, industry regulations, and environmental policies. Develop and manage the warehouse and distribution budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and other Orica departments. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance. What you will bring Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in warehouse and distribution management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of supply chain and logistics principles. Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) are a plus.
