About the Role: Primarily this role is responsible for providing first level supervision and achieving daily operational objectives in order to realize highest customer service through safe, efficient and accurate implementation of warehouse processes Primary Responsibilities: Visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives. Communicate and endorse safety practices through team meetings, toolbox talks, etc. Co-ordinate and direct the work of others within a team environment ensuring the quality of the teams performance with respect to KPI, customer service levels, company policy & procedures Assist in employee induction and the provision of training Provide feedback to immediate management on issues that may effect operational performance, such as process issues, individual performance, competency, training, adherence to policy & procedure Maintain accurate data input, computer operation and reporting Ensure that all housekeeping tasks within the teams area of responsibility are performed to a satisfactory level Take full accountability for personal safety and well-being, develop an understanding of risk minimisation and be committed to achieving the highest possible standards for Safety, Health and the Environment (SH&E) Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives Other key accountabilities appropriate to the banding of the position as determined by the manager of the role About You: ESSENTIAL Experience in a warehouse environment Knowledge of logistics practices in particular warehouse management principles Completion of secondary education Forklift Licence DESIRABLE Relevant certificate courses Knowledge of SAP Experience of the Aluminium industry Experience in team leadership Applicants must also be prepared to undertake and pass a pre-employment medical inclusive of drug and alcohol test. “As part of our diversity and inclusion journey, Capral is aiming to increase the representation of women across our businesses.
