Senior UX Designer — Melbourne CBD, Melbourne

Work from home and office Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne CBD location Reporting to the Digital Experience Manager and working closely with other UX designers, this role will bring UX design knowledge to take our digital capability to the next level for our customers. We are seeking individuals who not only assist in solving high level business and customer challenges with fellow UX designers, but also work collaboratively with a wider group of stakeholders including Product Owners, Writers, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Content Authors, SEO and Technical (dev) teams. You'll be working across predominately Web and Sales Channels (customer discovery and purchase), Service (self-service platforms) as well being cognizant of Native App capabilities so having experience and a portfolio (App, mobile responsive) is favorable. An understanding of working with and applying component design thinking (design systems) is also beneficial, as Suncorp's environments are embedded in this approach. The successful candidate will work across a range brands, applications, and initiatives, so the ability to adapt to changing business objectives is essential. The successful candidate will also have an eye for creating best UX designs, focusing on great customer outcomes that supports our accessibility requirements, And always keen to look out for any emerging App experiences & UI patterns. Ability to craft or guide pixel perfect interface and collaborating with the developers through to the public release is also key. Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: Lead the communication of design across the product delivery teams, whilst often being a central contact point for wider stakeholder groups Actively contribute to prioritisation (Stand Ups) of design tasks & rituals across the team Coach, mentor, guide, and critique other designers on best practice UX design Assist in evolving the teams WoW design approach and methodologies Report on BAU/project/initiative status and coordinate overall resource management. (Lead UX & management support) Actively report and present design showcase activities. Skills & Experience: Preferably tertiary qualification in design, computer science or behavioural sciences Minimum 5 years' experience as a UX designer Strong ability to comprehend complex technical concept and then make complex simple in all communications and task setting activities Strong knowledge of responsive web, including native mobile (App) and emerging mobile experience trends, with keen eye for detail and usability/accessibility standards Ability to initially map out or oversee user experiences/features (wire flows), then progress to full fidelity UI prototypes for product and development teams Strong knowledge of online form design and usability, including best practice UI interaction for web and mobile. (Ability to distil complex information and contextualising it for users) High proficiency of Figma (UI components / prototyping / Library structures) & competent in Microsoft office.
