Our Boys&39; Secondary School is seeking an exceptional Art Teacher. This is a permanent, part-time position with a term 3 start. About the role: Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study. Develop an interest in creative expression using skills and techniques that are consistent with the school guidelines. Deliver the teaching of practical skills and theory of various art forms Working with other faculties to integrate art project’s with other learning themes Entry of student work into relevant art competitions. Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards. Teach an area of the curriculum or a general curriculum to a year level. Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas. Implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes. Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress. Implement effective student management consistent with the school’s strategic plan. Participate in professional development as deemed necessary. To complete/provide informal/formal reports. About You: Experience in providing a welcoming and safe environment for children and young people. An empathetic approach to safety and wellbeing of children and young people to whom we provide services. Some experience teaching Art across varying year levels. Hold a valid ‘working with children’ and be VIT registered.
