Infrastructure Engineer — East Ryde, Ryde Area

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join on an initial 6 month contract basis and support infrastructure across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows Server and SuSE Linux administration, as well as proficiency in managing virtualized environments using VMWare and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, is highly desired. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain Windows Server and SuSE Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. - Administer virtualized environments using VMWare, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring scalability and high availability. - Utilize Microsoft Azure services for infrastructure management, deployment, and monitoring. - Implement and manage SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for efficient software deployment and updates. - Maintain WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) to manage and distribute updates across the network. - Configure and manage Intune for mobile device management and endpoint security. Provide support for networking issues, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs. Skills required: Expert knowledge of Azure and its associated services (networking, security, log analytics, PaaS, SaaS and IaaS services) Expert knowledge in AD and Azure Active Directory. Expert knowledge in Azure best practices, relevant IT security and managing Azure infrastructure. Expert knowledge in virtualisation technologies i.e. Hyper-V and VMware. Expert knowledge with Linux operating systems Expert knowledge with central application and workstation management (SCCM, Intune). Expert knowledge with MDM tools (Intune, Meraki). Expert knowledge with patch management tools. Expert knowledge with Zscaler highly desirable. Expert knowledge with Veeam backups solutions is highly desirable. Windows Admin experience (troubleshooting, builds, customization, performance tuning, & hardening experience, automation). Expert knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, data loss prevention, anti-virus, SIEM and Vulnerability management.
