About the role Working within a critical branch, the A06 Graphic Designer creates and delivers graphic, audiovisual, animation, and photography services across various media. You will be required to develop and maintain training modules, branding, templates, and programs, providing advice on corporate identity and whole-of-government branding guidelines. A summary of your responsibilities include: Lead design solutions from concept to delivery in various formats and communication channels, including print and digital materials, brochures, banners, flyers, signage, online programs and infographics; Oversee the development and maintenance of style guides and templates, making key decisions on design standards and practices; Provide expert advice on graphic design strategy, production, and best practices to internal and external clients; Proficiently use contemporary design software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud, and make key decisions on their use in projects; Mentor team members and stakeholders on graphic design and print production best practices. Collaborate with instructional designers to create learning and development materials; and Build and maintain relationships with senior management across the department, other government agencies, and key industry stakeholders. About u This is an A06 level role, in order to be competitive, you will need at least 5 year’s experience in graphic design and delivering creative service projects. A relevant tertiary qualification in graphic design, creative industries or related field; Proven experience in leading and delivering significant creative services projects within agreed budgets and timeframes; Demonstrated ability using Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design tools; and Working knowledge of state government best practices and standards (preferable but not essential); and Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
