Contract Administrator (Commercial Construction) — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

About the Role: We are looking for established Contract Administrators for a Commercial Builder in Melbourne. Join a leading, privately-owned construction company with over a century of delivering high-quality projects across diverse sectors. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that all agreements are executed smoothly and efficiently. You will be working with 2 experienced Commercial Managers, who will be responsible for mentoring and developing you. Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions. Manage project budgets and monitor expenses to stay within financial limits. Process and approve progress payments, invoices, and change orders. Maintain accurate records of all contractual documents and correspondence. Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to contracts and project execution. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project timelines are met. Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Law, or a related field. (Desirable) Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract administration within the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction contracts, terms, and conditions. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
