Sacred Heart Primary School is situated in Morwell, heart of the Latrobe Valley. It is Victoria’s energy centre and situated 150 kilometres east of Melbourne on the lands of the Gunaikurnai People, with a population of 15,000. About the Role Sacred Heart Primary School has an enrolment of 105 and is richly blessed with a proud community that is diverse and exciting. We are currently seeking a dynamic, innovative, and highly motivated classroom teacher. You will be working across several of our classrooms in partnership with our staff, student and parent community. The role may include We are currently seeking an ongoing full-time Classroom Teacher. This role may be broken into smaller time fractions for suitable applicants. Period: Ongoing position Commencement Date: 15 July 2024 or an agreed date pending potential applicant’s current work commitment. Sacred Heart Primary school aims to empower students with a well-rounded knowledge and skill base and are fortunate to be able to participate in four specialist areas that include Physical Education, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Languages – Chinese. Selected Grade 5 & 6 students participate in a sustainability program and are known as the Sustainability Warriors. These students take on the responsibility of looking after the school gardens, providing and maintain compost bins for each class, taking great pride in the work that they do, to care for the environment, today and into the future.
