About the role: Working in an effective legal function, you will work closely with the General Counsel, executive and site leadership across a broad mix of work, focussed on supporting the company’s existing (and future) Australian operations, including: providing legal advice regarding contractual arrangements for new operations or expansions/modifications to existing site operations; providing legal advice on environmental law, approvals, mining and exploration related tenure, property etc.; providing legal advice on native title and cultural heritage matters; providing legal advice on health and safety matters; coordinating and managing expert external counsel in the areas of health and safety, regulatory approvals, environment, mining tenure, real property, native title etc; and management of site-based litigation where required. Skills/Experience: To be considered for this role you will have: 8-12 years' PAE projects or energy & resources experience; exposure to mining/resources, infrastructure or heavy industry will be highly regarded; exposure to in-house is preferred (incl secondment experience); and a commercial approach and good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
