Ako Bros Civil Engineering is currently seeing a full time Telecommunications Technical Officer to join our dynamic team This is a chance for you to combine your skills and passion and progress your career with one of Sydney’s leading Civil Engineering experts. Current Opening: This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week). Position Responsibilities and Tasks Plan network installations by identifying customer preferences and determining appropriate specifications, supplies, tools and materials. Plan for improvement of telecommunications network framework for customer access. Ensure delivery of continuous customer assistance in configuring, improving, monitoring and maintaining network speed and performance or detecting and fixing technical issues. Coordinate with suitable merchants, suppliers and network providers to ensure delivery is carried out in a timely manner and components for telecommunications equipment and devices fulfil the requested specifications. Mount, diagnose and resolve glitches in satellite, electromagnetic communication systems and other related telecommunication components. Document telecommunications strategies, technical procedures and standard practices and maintain record of information on installation status, site locations, inventory, materials and equipment details. Design and organise telecommunications technology with hardware, computer software, operating systems and databases. Install, inspect and test network and instrument performance of complicated telecommunications networks and off er technical support and recommend solutions. Perform routine tests on telecommunications systems to ensure that all components are functioning at optimal levels. Align and incorporate clients’ current telecommunications network with computer hardware, operating systems, electronic devices, etc. Qualifications and Skills Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Degree or equivalent or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role. Experience in telecommunications field work Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organisational and communication skills. Ability to analyse and use date to inform all decisions. High level of flexibility and a positive approach to the challenging demands of the role Salary: The role offers a remuneration package of $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
