About you: To be successful in securing this position, you will have: Qualifications in a relevant engineering design discipline such as Human Factors, or User Experience (UX) Experience in a similar role (preferably within the defence industry) Experience in conducting end user needs analyses, requirements elicitation and User Interface design and test activities. Experience with performing customer briefings related to design rationale, issue resolution, and product test outcomes. Your responsibilities will include: About the program: AIR6500 is the RAAF's $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace. Responsibilities: As the User Experience (UX) / Human Factors Design Engineer (Senior) you will be responsible for: Applying UX / Human Factors Engineering principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human-machine systems and products Interface with stakeholders from a range of engineering disciplines and the end user community to establish system design, operation, and training requirements and to ensure optimised human-machine interfaces Developing and implementing plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypes used in new products and processes Identifying and analysing technological problems or risks, performing theoretical human factors investigations, and developing and implementing analysis plans Vacancy Country Australia Vacancy Location SA, Mawson Lakes
