Current execution architectures based on GPUs and TPUs are simply not capable of providing the necessary performance required for the computational load without massive energy expenditures. The current data centre solutions underlying Chat GPT and its competing products are not economic, either in terms of heat or money. In this role, you will be contributing to software that performs calculations in-memory, minimizing the bottlenecks and energy drains associated with data transfer. You will be developing and debugging code on prototype systems implemented on FPGA and emulated hardware models and creating the tools that will make the technology available to the wider machine-learning community. Graduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar. Experience with multithreaded development on multicore CPUs Ability to work with HW design teams, and an understanding of hardware specification and firmware debugging using JTAG Experience with operating system development is an advantage Experience of static resource management in a constrained system Strong skills in mathematics, discrete arithmetic and linear algebra is an advantage This is your best chance to work with the latest AI hardware, that enables the next generation of technology advances.
