You will have demonstrated experience in Automation Projects preferably in the Heavy Industry sector, working across multiple projects, typically process line equipment upgrade including electrical and automation equipment. To be successful in this role you need to be a motivated self-starter, be mature, reliable and have excellent communication skills. You will be adaptable, resourceful and above all have a strong client focus. Responsibilities Taking a leading role in managing the design, development, implementation and commissioning of high-quality electrical/automation solutions Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule. Review and prepare detailed specifications and contract documents for procurement of major electrical and controls equipment as well as construction document packages Actively involved and responsible for installation and commissioning of automation work packages for specific capital projects Prepare technical reports and client correspondences/presentations to project stakeholders Experience and Skills Experience in managing Electrical/Automation projects in either water, Oil & Gas, mining or industrial manufacturing industries. Strong understanding of IT and Operational Technology PLC/SCADA system design and development Electrical and/or Automation engineering background, including Instrumentation and PLC systems, with an associated Automation Controls, Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering degree. Minimum 7 years relevant industrial experience and participation in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team (preferably including different products and technologies in Automation areas) Extensive experience with PLC level, SCADA, or communication protocols required for semi-auto or full automation of tools or material handling systems. Strong preference for experience with Siemens 300 and 1500 series PLC Strong preference for experience with safe access design, programming and commissioning.
