OUR BENEFITS Competitive remuneration Super Bonus Medical health insurance ThalesFlex - flexibility working is our everyday and hybrid work environment Fitness Passport Discount - Access to a network of Gyms across AUS Employee discounts with a number of affiliates (Travel, Car hire, Tech, Medical Insurance) Modernised Paid Parental Leave Veterans Leave Novated Lease options Family support through our partnership with Parents at Work YOUR ROLE As a Software DevOps Engineer, you are accountable for: Support the deployment of a new DevSecOps environment based on best in class tools and infrastructure as part of a generational change in tools across Thales Australia Tailor a worldwide shared DevOps approach to the Australian regulatory environment and IS/IT infrastructure, enabling rapid deployment of updates and security patches Taking ownership of the legacy DevOps code and environment currently in operations through to decommissioning Finding pragmatic solutions to transition from legacy tools to the chosen modern tool suites (supported by technical experts in the team and across the business) Encouraging adoption of new tools, processes and methodologies within the team YOUR EXPERIENCE To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience: Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Information Technology Degree or equivalent. 7 years experience in Software Engineering, IS/IT or equivalent roles Excellent written and oral communication skills. In depth experience with DevSecOps tools and languages. Knowledge of Puppet, Ansible, VRealize, Terraform, Packer, K8S/Tanzu highly regarded. IS/IT infrastructure required for DevSecOps, including networking, storage, databases, virtualisation, containers, Linux, Windows etc. Knowledge of VMWare, RHEL, NetApp highly regarded. Experience in estimating, planning, deploying and maintaining solutions in an operational environment.
