About the role This role oversees and manages resilient stormwater and flooding plans for the community, addressing current and future urban and rural needs. Duties Develop and review Asset Management Plans as a part of the Council's Resource Strategy. Work closely alongside the Manager, Planning and Design (Strategic) to lead the development of strategies and programs for stormwater and overland flood infrastructure. Set strategies for prioritizing projects, renewals, maintenance, and budget allotments within the Council's Delivery Program. Oversee the management of condition surveys for stormwater assets, drainage to inform future projects and financial reports. Craft strategic policies, standards, and procedures for stormwater and flood management, offering expert guidance. Skills & experience Degree in Civil Engineering (or other relevant engineering discipline) or recognized degree with relevant experience. Significant recent experience in civil engineering planning for stormwater/drainage works Proven skills in investigation, plan development, estimating, and design of stormwater infrastructure. Demonstrated experience in drainage investigations, programming & design, including hydraulic calculations and hydrological assessments. Preparation and review of catchment and site specific stormwater management plans/designs. Understanding of NSW Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework with a focus on stormwater Asset Management Current Class C driver’s license and General Construction Induction (White) card.
