About The Role Reporting to the Manager Operational Planning, you will play a pivotal role in a centralised planning function, orchestrating the seamless integration of diverse technical functions such as mining, metallurgy, data analytics, geotech, hydrogeology, closure, and planning. The primary objective is to guarantee the practicality and coherence of Life of Mine (LOM) plans. The Operations Planning team has recently spearheaded the implementation of Production Planning Tool 2.0, a system designed to enhance Iluka's production forecasting capabilities based on multiple mine plans and scenarios. Additionally, the team has taken the lead in developing pit-to-port reconciliations. This achievement was realised with the collaboration of external consultants and dotted line functions within the organisation. Your accountabilities will include: Ensure executability of the LOM by holding technical functions to account in line with the LOM action tracker Develop detailed 5-year mine plans to optimize backfill, haulage, and rehabilitation strategies for operational efficiency Ensure timely delivery of budgets and reforecasts of downstream process plants, integrating various feed sources in the supply chain in collaboration with production planning analysts Continue to maintain and develop tools and systems of Production Planning Tool and Pit to Port Reconciliations in conjunction with other functions within the organisation Support the studies team in shaping the strategic direction and assessment of conceptual and early stage targets with an operational lens About You To be successful for this role, you will have: Bachelor's in mining engineering Demonstrated experience in Mining Engineering and/or Planning Expertise in early stage Mineral Project evaluations e.g. Preliminary Economic Assessments and Scoping Studies High proficiency in analytical Mine Planning and proficiency in commercial software such as MINEMAX SCHEDULER, Alastri's Rapid Reserver, Tactical Scheduler, and Haul infinity Experience in Strategic Mine planning and integrated planning practices Strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to understand business drivers Deep knowledge of database and software analytics Ability to think outside the box, courage to challenge the status quo, persistence in the face of setbacks Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work harmoniously with cross functional teams Our Offer To You Flexible working arrangements Be supported through an inclusive and collaborative culture Up to 18 Weeks Paid Parental Leave Ability to Purchase Additional Annual Leave Competitive Salary and Bonus Structures Company share matching scheme You will be supported, empowered, included and encouraged to be the best version of yourself.
