The core objectives encompass driving sales growth, nurturing relationships with both members and suppliers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and cultivating a growth mindset within the team, and consistently surpassing predetermined sales targets inline with other business unit and organisational objectives. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, the Sales Manager will prioritize the development of their team members to maximize their potential and elevate performance, ensuring the team exceeds sales objectives. Some of your key responsibilities will include Lead and inspire a field sales team within the designated Zone to achieve sales targets and objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing coaching and mentorship to team members, empowering them to reach their full potential. Cultivate strong relationships with members and suppliers to enhance business outcomes and drive revenue growth. Stay abreast of business and corporate legislation, particularly in relation to Trade Practices/competition and consumer law (desirable). Apply intermediate proficiency in the MS Office Software Suite to facilitate sales and administrative operations. Adapt to changing business requirements and effectively manage demands, deadlines, and timeframes. Utilise sound analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and optimise sales strategies. Demonstrate high levels of interpersonal and customer relations skills to effectively engage with stakeholders. Apply business awareness, commercial acumen, and strong negotiation skills in sales and marketing activities. Provide effective leadership, direction, and guidance to the sales team, influencing the organization at a management level. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with stakeholders at all levels. Promote information sharing and effective teamwork principles. Achieve desired results aligned with organisational objectives. What will you bring? Experience: Successfully led and managed field sales teams to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and objectives. Demonstrated a track record of selling credit products in the finance industry or related sectors, with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience. Possess strong leadership skills, with over 3 to 5 years' experience in Sales or Marketing management roles, including providing coaching and mentorship to team members to enhance their performance and development. Previous roles in vehicle, equipment, broking, or banking-related finance are highly regarded, showcasing a diverse understanding of financial products and markets. Utilised tools and methodologies for requirements gathering and modelling to develop and implement effective sales strategies, resulting in tangible business outcomes. Experience in or with cooperatives or other member-focused organisations is desirable, demonstrating the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with members and suppliers. Knowledge of business and corporate legislation, particularly in relation to Trade Practices/competition and consumer law, AML and CTF would be advantageous. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (highly desirable): This qualification provides a solid foundation in business principles, marketing strategies, financial analysis, and management practices, which are essential for the Sales Manager role. Requirement: Valid driver’s license issued by the relevant State / Zone regulatory authority (essential): This qualification remains essential for the role, ensuring the Sales Manager can effectively travel to meet clients and oversee field sales operations.
