Freedom of Information / Information Release Administrative Assistant Two Permanent Full-Time Positions Available Each position is 38 hours per week, or 40 hours per week with monthly ADO Monday to Friday hours only, business hours (no weekends) Based onsite at Maroondah Hospital (Ringwood East) | Hybrid working arrangements available 5 weeks annual leave per year | Salary Packaging benefits of over $11k available to you to increase take home pay Eastern Health Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services. We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health and state-wide specialist services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs. We are seeking two motivated and engaged individuals with high attention to detail to work with our busy and dynamic Freedom of Information (FOI) and Information Release Service, The positions involve undertaking administrative tasks which relate to the disclosure of highly sensitive and confidential information, including searching, retrieving and compiling and preparing documents in response to subpoenas, summons’, police requests, child protection agency requests and others in accordance with relevant legislation. These roles are fundmental in supporting our Freedom of Information Officers by preparing and registering requests for documents and medical records on our database ready for review by our FOI Officers. The successful candidates will require excellent planning and strong organisational skills, be self-motivated and proactive and committed to continued service improvement. They will also have the capacity to collaborate effectively and work with all levels of staff at Eastern Health and outside agencies and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. About you To be successful in this role, our ideal candidates should have: Strong motivation and excellent attention to detail Ability to work effeciently without compromising accuracy Proficiency in teamwork, and working within a diverse large team environment Outstanding communication and organisational skills. Prior experience in Release of Information, Freedom of Information, or Medico-Legal roles ( desirable ) Please refer to the attached position description for further details of the role.
