Payroll Administrator-12 month contract — The Rocks, Sydney

Your Business: People are a key part of the Group's strategy and HR partner with our business units in building a vibrant, customer focused and high integrity culture. Human Resources are the custodians of the employee lifecycle - from acquiring talent, through to leadership development and training, internal mobility, advising on employee relations, and delivering remuneration and benefits programs. Your Team: The People and Payroll Services team (PPS) is responsible for ensuring the HRIS business capability for self-service and the timely and accurate processing of the relevant payroll and related third party payments. PPS works closely with business HR, HR Platform, HR Direct and ADP teams to ensure the payroll and Your Role: You will play an integral part of the team, processing volume transactions such as leave, superannuation, terminations, redundancies, reporting, PAYG, internal job changes, new hires, work schedules, ensuring all payroll processes are compliant with employment conditions to delivery accurate and timely payment to our employees. This role reports into a People & Payroll Team Leader. Whilst the role has no direct reports, you will work as part of and contribute to a large team of PPS professionals. Your Responsibilities: Your core responsibilities include: Contribute to the timely and accurate processing of the fortnightly Australian payroll for approximately 40,000 employees. Complete processing of high volume transactions following existing standard operating procedures Closely follow payroll standard operating processes and make recommendations for process controls and improvements where applicable. Manage processing of job change transactions across the CBA Solutions ensuring quality of HR data is preserved Achieve a 99% accuracy rate for all transactions Support resolution of customer enquiries and requests in line with Service Level Agreements and adhering to Group and People and Payroll Services policies Undertake any other tasks as required based on team requirements of project related activities that you have the capability to perform safely to support team deliverables Your Skills and Experience: Strong administration skills and attention to detail Proactive approach to service delivery, acting with the customer's best interests in mind and making relevant suggestions to support their goals/requirements. Clear, succinct written and verbal communication skills. Strong sense of accountability and responsibility. Flexibility to adapt to new ideas and methods of payroll service delivery. Experience working in large teams with large volume of work is preferred.
