Receptionist and Administrative Assistant (6 months) — The Rocks, Sydney

Role description: This role will be responsible for providing professional administrative support and control the reception to the office as required This role will be based in Australia (Sydney Office) Reports directly to the Workplace Facilities Manager (WFM) role. Role accountabilities: The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Handling all incoming telephone calls efficiently and professionally. Welcoming visitors to the office per company standards. Arranging security passes for visitors and staff, where required. Ensuring the security card is audited and updated every month. Managing the booking of meeting rooms through a desk booking software, ensuring the meeting rooms and the reception area remain tidy and clean. Arranging mail and couriers Assisting the OFM with additional tasks associated with the day-to-day running of the office Setting up meetings and event spaces, including movement of furniture, ordering food and beverages, and maintaining room tidiness (requires a level of physical fitness) Coordinating with vendors and building management to ensure smooth operations Engaging in basic tasks whilst still being able to control the higher-end tasks in the office as requested by the OFM Engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Arcadis. Becoming familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines Undertaking First Aid and Evacuation Warden roles Qualifications & Experience: Relevant experience in a professional environment Organized, methodical, and with a good work ethic. Professional appearance and manner on the phone and in interaction with clients and staff Commitment to customer service Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Knowledge of general IT systems and those used in the delivery of Workplace services Ability to prioritize work Why Arcadis?
