All Karratha-based roles offered are on a residential basis Responsibilities Looking for an exciting new challenge? Yara are seeking applications for their permanent role of Mechanical Engineer (Static). Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Mechanical Engineer (Static) is responsible for ensuring the availability and optimum operation of Static Equipment assets at Yara Pilbara. The successful candidate will support Operations in ensuring Yara operates its resources in the most efficient and reliable way, providing troubleshooting and general support in the area of Static Equipment Engineering. The Static Engineer will: Be responsible for mechanical engineering support of plant equipment Equipment failure analysis Be responsible for appropriate approvals and documentation for plant equipment Apply of relevant codes, practices and TOPs during maintenance activities Be co-ordinator for MOCs Equipment data accuracy in SAP Publish Work Procedures for Static Equipment maintenance, repair and modification; Supervise overhauls and projects for Static Equipment, signing off Inspection and Test Plans and ensuring quality of work; Provide advice to Yara Personnel as the Subject Matter Expert on Static Equipment on site; Ensure Yara Technical Operating Procedure compliance and Industry Best Practice with regards to Static Equipment; Conduct Root Cause Analysis and publish reports relating to static equipment failures; Work closely with Inspection Engineers to implement findings of Risk Based Inspection Methodology on Static Equipment. Conduct training for Engineers and Technicians in Static Equipment Reliability and Maintenance; Assist SAP Specialist to optimise maintenance and spares data; Directly manage critical spares relating to static equipment across the site to ensure their availability and quality when required. Ensure MOC and Synergi actions are progressed in accordance with Yara's expectations. Identification of problem areas and analysis of performance trends; the eyes and ears of maintenance on plant equipment, contribute to forward planning. Profile Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering Full Member of the Institute of Engineers, Australia (MIAust) Preferred 5 years of experience in a similar industry as Static Equipment Engineer (Petrochemical, Gas Processing or Oil Refining); Strong SAP skills are a distinct advantage Intermediate/Advanced MS Office suite experience Certifications related to inspection of static equipment are highly regarded Fluent English (verbal and written) is essential.
