Administration Assistant / Ward Clerk – Orygen Inpatient Unit Full-Time ongoing position – 80 hours per fortnight ADO Support the day-to-day running of our inpatient unit in a supportive team Located at The Orygen Youth Mental health Inpatient Unit – Footscray About your new team Orygen Specialist Program (OSP) provides specialist mental health services, focusing on early intervention, for young people aged 15 to 25 with severe and complex mental illness. Our Inpatient Unit (IPU) is located in Footscray on the Western Hospital site. The IPU includes a 16-bed low dependency area and a further three beds (ICA-East) for targeted specialised service delivery for youth with complex mental health and psychosocial needs. Your new role: An opportunity exists to provide essential Administration support to the Orygen Inpatient Unit. To be Successful in this Role you Have a friendly and courteous manner Are an effective communicator and a quick learner Are team oriented and focus on finding positive solutions Demonstrate initiative and improve processes Are organised and have good time and self-management skills Are flexible and can respond to changes in demand as they occur About the Role Permanent, Full-time Support the IPU team to provide high quality administration oversight of IPU operations Collaborate with the IPU leadership to ensure delivery of high-quality care, with a focus on clinical nursing standards and efficient use of resources Support with consumer flow and bed management across the IPU Review incidents, identify causal factors and develop recommendations to eliminate, mitigate or substitute potential risk issues with the unit About you: Relevant skills and experience in a mental health or general hospital setting Desirable experience with programs CMI, IPM and EPIC EMR Benefit of working with us: Join us during this inspiring time of growth and transformation Excellent leadership and team culture.
