The CHSP provides small amounts of entry-level support to assist older people aged 65 years and over (50 years and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) to remain living at home and in their community. Here at St Vincent's, our CHSP funds Nursing, Allied Health, Podiatry, and Dementia Advisory services as part of our program. CHSP services may be short-term, intermittent or ongoing. The program places a strong focus on activities that support independence and social connectedness and take into account each person's individual goals and choices. The Administration Officer will work within a multidisciplinary team, under the direction of the Manager, to facilitate service delivery for community based aged care clients and to support a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks. The Administration Officer will work under broad supervision but will be required to take independent action. Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures. Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the program remain the responsibility of the Manager. Demonstrated organisational, problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills to meet deadlines in the work area. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, and as part of a team. Demonstrated experience in collating complex documents, responses, report drafting and formal correspondence. Proven high level computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, electronic client records, data management) and experience in the production of data analysis reports. Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality and privacy issues Demonstrated ability to deal sensitively, confidently and effectively with key stakeholders.
