We currently have an opportunity for a casual basis medical service tech out of our Ingleburn branch to manage all medical equipment repairs. Due to growth of our business, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic, confident, and vibrant person to join our Sydney branch based in Ingleburn branch as a Medical Service Technician. Reporting to the Medical Gas Manager you will be responsible to manage all medical equipment repairs. This is a Casual basis role. Fulltime hours Key Responsibilities: Embody the ‘Yes We Can’ ethos in all aspects of the role and responsibilities. Adapt, promote, and encourage a Safety-First approach. Organise set-up of the patient with the medical equipment as per prescription. This includes but is not limited to home oxygen cylinders. Issue the relevant set-up information kit to the patient and provide details for them to seek additional assistance when required. Explain the after-hour service, and the type of medical equipment they use. Ensure that the patient and carer (if applicable) understand the safety requirements and operating instructions by guiding them through the patient documentation. Use the opportunity of each visit to the patient to reinforce safety instructions and provide additional education, using the relevant documentation. Reiterate the Doctor’s therapy instructions (as per prescription) Inform patient and carer (if applicable) of additional products or services they may be interested in (portable oxygen, mask replacement, etc.) according to marketing programs and management instructions. Safe driving and keeping their vehicle in good condition in compliance with Company policies. Adhere with all road rules and Company policies related to operating a vehicle. Deliver such items as medical equipment, medical gas cylinders and other medical supplies to patients' place of residence (including private homes and nursing homes), and other locations as scheduled. Load and unload delivery vehicle according to Company policy. Other tasks as requested from time to time. Candidates must possess: Experience within primary healthcare is desirable. Possess excellent customer service, including all communications, written and verbal skills. A keen desire to learn and develop personally and professionally. Basic computer skills to send and receive emails. Scan and print paperwork etc. Flexible work outlook. Changing hours regularly required. This position involves the provision of services to clients requiring you to undertake a National Police Check and Working with Children check and regular renewals as required.
