DXC.com We are seeking a skilled Midrange ADABAS Database Specialist to manage and maintain our clients' Adabas database environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Adabas on midrange platforms, ensuring database performance, integrity, and security. Key Responsibilities: Systems Support of ADABAS, Natural and related Software AG products. Manage and support Adabas databases on midrange platforms. Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning measures. Ensure database availability, reliability, and data integrity. Perform database backup and recovery operations. Collaborate with application developers to design and implement database solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly. Implement and enforce database security measures. Create and maintain database documentation and procedures. Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Adabas databases. Proficiency in Adabas database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Strong understanding of midrange systems (e.g., Unix, Linux, Windows). Experience with Natural programming language is a plus. Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and security best practices. NOTE: Must be eligible for Australian Government NV1 clearance.
