Reporting to the Construction Manager your primary responsibilities will include: Assist the team with tendering and contract review; Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes and procurement schedules; Review, negotiate, attendance and finalisation of the procurement process; Ensure compliance with Head Contract & Subcontract conditions; Assist with compiling Head Contract variations; Review of Subcontractors progress claims and variations; Review and approval of suppliers invoices relating to projects under their control; Assist in cost forecasting and reporting of projects; Assist in closing out the projects with As-built Manuals, Warranties and Guarantees. What you'll need to succeed Ideally you will have demonstrated experience in the contractual and cost management of commercial and industrial construction projects and possess the following attributes: Confidence in negotiation and cost management skills; Experience in working with Project Management software (We are currently using the full Procore suite); Sound understanding of industry contracts and the application of each; Sound understanding of the Security of Payments Legislation; Attention to detail with the intention to make sure things are done properly; The ability to work effectively autonomously or as part of a team; Highly competent in developing and writing scope of works and managing tender packages to deliver successful procurement; Good knowledge and a willingness to work with the latest technology and software systems.
