AGL's Asset Integrity team have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer, to lead various electrical engineering scopes of work being undertaken for new greenfield grid scale energy projects, delivering the Energy Hubs vision. You will be defining technical requirements and reviewing key engineering deliverables for studies and projects within the Energy Hubs portfolio. With a focus on safety, quality and engineering outcomes, you will be reviewing engineering designs, visiting asset sites, and working across the whole lifecycle of projects, from concept through to commissioning. What you'll be doing: Supporting the execution across all project phases (from concept to handover) of new greenfield grid-scale projects at AGL. Managing and administering technical work and deliverables from project contractors, OEMs, and consultants. Identifying hold points/reviews for engineering documents for projects and studies. Ensuring compliance with relevant HSE legislation, Australian and International standards while meeting the AGL's policies and standards for HSE management. What you'll bring: Strong electrical engineering skills, with an understanding of the project life cycle from initial concept to handover operations. Sound knowledge and understanding of asset ownership, in particular the needs of operations and maintenance teams in the design of utility scale plant. Strong understanding of practical electrical safety, including arc flash, plant isolation, high voltage safety and high energy equipment. An ability to manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders, balancing and understand their needs through analysis, influencing and negotiating, incorporating this into deliverables. Experience in connection generation to the NEM, including connection application, generator registration and negotiation of generator performance standards. Experience: Power engineering - specific knowledge, particular in renewable or new grid technologies. 5 years of relevant engineering in a technical engineering function. Proven stakeholder management skills. Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering (essential). Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia (essential) Eligible for Professional Engineering certification e.g. CPEng (preferrable).
