About the role: An exciting opportunity exists within the Victoria Police Fleet Branch for two (2) Administration Support Officers to support fleet vehicle equipment fitting and decommissioning. The Victoria Police Fleet consists of approximately 3500 vehicles and is expended to increase over coming years. The Administration Support Officer will assist the Fit-Up Team Lead to ensure performance at an excellent standard for the fit-up and decommissioning of Victoria Police vehicles, with strict adherence to procedures, ensuring work is completed in a timely manner within quality control guidelines. The Administration Support Officer will regularly liaise with internal Victoria Police stakeholders and external contractors to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Fitting and Decommissioning contract with AutoNexus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate customer centricity, collaboration in a team environment, with excellent written and oral communication skills when working with a diverse range of stakeholders within Victoria Police and the wider Victoria Government. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Fleet Branch. Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements. Your duties will include: Generate vehicle fit-out, repairs and decommissioning work orders for the main contractor. Provide advice and reports on policy and issues relevant to vehicle fit ups and de-commissioning. Monitor the services provided by the external contractor engaged to fit/remove/repair equipment in police vehicles (Quality Control). Undertake basic research and investigations to improve the vehicle fit ups. Be a part of a small team within the Fleet Quality Unit. As the successful applicant, you will have: A knowledge and passion for motor vehicles with a certificate in the automotive trades is desirable. Possess a current Victorian Driver's Licence and hold or qualify for a Victoria Police White Class driver authority within three months if successful. Proficient with basic computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel). Experience working within the automotive trades industry is desirable.
