Community Support Workers (Child & Youth) Casual and Part Time options — Broadview, Port Adelaide Area

Here at SACARE, we are seeking Community Support Workers that possess the relevant skills, qualifications and experience to provide individualised care to our participants within home care settings working with Children and Young People living with a disability. About the role: Supporting Children and Young People who are NDIS Home Based participants who require day-to-day home based support, you will be working across a specific roster for the individual participants based on their individual needs. You will be an integral part of the team, ensuring that SACARE’s high standard of care is delivered to each participant. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Personal care Assisting with medication Community participation Deliver trauma-informed services Supporting with independent living skills Monitor and maintain accurate case notes About you: If you are someone who has a passion for supporting and empowering the lives of Children and Young People living with a Disability, then this is the role for you Candidates who have experience in Youth Work are highly encouraged to apply for this position. Skills and Experience Hold a Certificate III Individual support (with child and youth experience) or Hold a Certificate IV Youth Work or Hold a Certificate IV Child, Youth and Family Intervention Ability to engage and support people with highly complex needs Current NDIS Workers Check Current DHS Working with Children’s Check Current First Aid certificate with current CPR Current Manual handling training Unrestricted Drivers License Through their eyes training Suicide Prevention training Experience caring for children Benefits of working for SACARE: Plenty of work hours are available across a wide range of shifts.
