Independent Public School - South Metropolitan Education Region Gilmore College Administrative Support Officer 00027728 Level 3, $74,586 - $80,014 per annum (DOE (SSO) CA 2022) Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/SS837354 This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2024 Gilmore College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Administrative Support Officer with high level communication and interpersonal skills to join our vibrant and collegiate team. This role will predominately be in Human Resources (HR) and relief coordination, and the suitable applicant will ideally possess a good understanding of the relevant systems and policies required to maintain, monitor, analyse and extract information using Recruitment Advertising Management System (RAMS), Human Resource Management System (HRMIS), School Information System (SIS), (including Cover), and Compass Education. The holder of this position will work collaboratively with the same level officer to assist the Manager Corporate Services in Finance, Asset management, RM Billing, and other office administration. At times, the predominant aspects of the Administration Support Officer's roles will interchange between HR and Finance. Key to this role is an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, while effectively prioritising and meeting deadlines. Good interpersonal skills are essential for the role as it entails communication with college staff related to the coordination of staff leave and relief management, recruitment and retention, training and development, workforce planning and HR governance. A capacity to interact with empathy while simultaneously developing and maintain positive and professional relationships with the college community is highly desired. Gilmore College is an Independent Public School which opened in 2008, continuing 52 previous years of secondary education provided by Kwinana Senior High School. The school continues the education of students from within the City of Kwinana area primary schools. To be successful for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work-related requirements (selection criteria): Considerable experience providing input and effective support to the development, management, implementation, and monitoring of business operations, systems, and plans. Well-developed financial management skills, including data analysis, interpretation and reporting, and the ability to provide recommendations. Considerable knowledge, skills and understanding of human resource management, including the ability to provide effective support and input into the development, implementation and monitoring of all human resource management systems and processes. Sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to undertake effective negotiations and build positive relationships with staff at all levels. Sound administration and organisational skills with experience in delivery of administration support services and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines and with proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
