Leeming Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Humanities and Social Sciences teacher with the experience and ability to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Economics and/or Politics and Law. The successful applicant will ideally have the ability to influence the progress of students within our Humanities extension program. Leeming SHS is looking for teachers that can work collegiately and collaboratively but can also show a level of independence and initiative in the way they work. A clear understanding of the current version of the Western Australian Curriculum, along with demonstrated outstanding teaching and learning skills, knowledge and understandings will be highly regarded. The successful applicant will ideally be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of formative assessment and how this informs their teaching. It is expected that successful applicants will demonstrate an approach to self-improvement and will be willing to engage in our classroom observations process to improve their own teaching.
