This role involves engagement with biotech, academic, and pharmaceutical laboratories, contributing to a collective effort to advance the field of science. Operating under the direct supervision of the Sales Manager, the incumbent will assume responsibility for the sale of analytical equipment to various academic and industry-affiliated laboratories. This role requires expertise in working with sophisticated capital equipment specifically analytical instruments in chromatography/Chemistry. Key Responsibilities include: Develop growth plans for the territory and establish partnerships with relevant industry groups. Foster relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Expand existing accounts and pinpoint new business opportunities within the QLD and NT territories. Provide reports on market trends and financial forecasting, and collaborate closely with the team to establish budgets. Engage with clients in person to comprehend their needs and offer solutions. To be considered for this role: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (BSc) Proven capability to comprehend and implement sales concepts and practices Demonstrated experience in a comparable role within the life sciences industry Practical sales experience with analytical instrumentation (capital equipment) is preferred but not essential Strong organizational and multidisciplinary skills Positive attitude with the ability to work in a dynamic environment We are looking for candidates with a strong background in technical sales of capital equipment, as well as those with practical experience in analytical laboratory instrumentation, specifically in Mass Spectrometry.
