Contracts Administrator — The Rocks, Sydney

We are seeking a Contracts Administrator for a commercial and residential team in Sydney. $90,000 - $140,000 super Sydney Permanent We are on the lookout for a skilled Construction Administrator to join a commercial & residential team in Sydney. You'll initially join to assist on a high end residential apartment block with several commercial units beneath. From there you will move on to other high profile projects across Sydney. With contracts lined up with leading retailers and commercial clients, you'll gain exposure to some of the best projects in this space. Your primary role involves managing estimations and orders while supporting project management team. They have projects across Sydney so some travel will be involved although a vehicle will be provided when site visits are required. This is a hybrid role from home, office & site. This full-time position promises ongoing growth and development within the company. Regular pay reviews take place, every 12 months minimum. As part of the team, you will report to the Project Manager & Senior PM. Your responsibilities will revolve around collaborating closely with the Senior leaders, Suppliers, and Clients to create accurate and competitive proposals for various projects and items. Key Responsibilities: Provide precise pricing for contracts and variations with a keen eye on margin considerations. Coordinate with PM on contract management, material ordering and site logistics. Prepare quotes and pricing for variations, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Negotiate rates and costs with suppliers, subcontractors, and trades. Generate comprehensive documentation within set timelines. Maintain an in-depth understanding of company offerings and services. Create accurate Bill of Quantities Uphold excellent customer service standards while liaising with various stakeholders. Cultivate and maintain strong trade and supplier relationships. Prepare estimates, purchase orders, cost analysis, and ensure timely completion. Conduct regular site inspections to align with client requirements and project progress. Requirements Preferably 2 years experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of construction practices and building standards. Prior experience with estimating software (e.g., Buildsoft, PlanSwift, Buildxact, Buildertrend, Procore, or similar). Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in construction methodology, interpreting drawings, and specifications. Comfortable liaising with contractors, engineers, and cost consultants. Organised, with excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
